Design meets disability

Discretion is major direction for thinking of design in terms disability. The perspective of disability challenges designer to think in a new understanding way and easy for people who needs assistance. My favorite designer Charles Eames claimed that “design depends largely on constraints. Disability view of design creates new design thinking and influence broader design culture. It pursues further problem solving and playful exploration of design thinking. For example, hearing aids illustrates the idea of invisibility and concealment. Technological miniaturization made the hearing aids succeed in concealment.
